After summer!

Unit 35 - Social Media Unit

LO3 - P5/M2/D1

Your plan should be finished over summer and you should have a complete development plan laying in front of you.

This should include:

a) Purpose
b) Content
c) Target User/Membership
d) Production plan with launch date
e) Possible revenue streams 







If you've not finished your basic development plan then finish that now! If you have finished this then move onto the M2 & D1 tasks.


Task 1) M2

Make a flow chart or map of how your page will run, what option will go to where? What pages will be linked or affiliated? explain why these functions happen relating to your target audience.







Task 2) D2

Create an infographic with the relevant information on budgets, launch dates, timescales, what members receive when signing up, security and privacy measures and possible revenue.

be realistic with release dates and budgets, research into what a website normally costs to build and run, think about sponsors or sister companies. 






Task 3) D2 Ethical issues 


Produce a page explaining the legal and ethical issues your website may face. What age rating will it be and why? What copyright may you incur? What content will be shown on the website? 

Research into previous social media networks and piece together how you will resolve your legal and ethical issues.





LO4 P6/M3/D2 - Be able to design pages for a new social media website.

Task 1)

Create your home page and a members page to a high standard. Think about colour schemes and clean designs.

Use the web print layout and start to think about all the features on you're home and members pages.

Use Photoshop to make your 2 pages and bring in any illustrator drawings or graphics you are using.
